To nourish humanity through intelligent culinary tools
Our founder, Hill Yu, a passionate cook and designer/engineer, often finds stovetop cooking to be finicky and full of hassles. The biggest issue? Heating control. Sometimes the results are great; other times, not so much. Recipe books' instructions for low, medium, and high heat vary from stove to stove, leading to frequent overcooking or undercooking.
In 2021—an age of (almost) self-driving cars—Hill was disappointed that recipes were still disconnected from cooking appliances and couldn't set all the temperatures on their own. Seeking a solution, he tried more than a dozen brands, only to find that the so-called “smart” or “connected” cooktops and stoves, which only let you turn burners on and off from your phone, weren't fundamentally improving cooking results and experiences.
Therefore, the only option left was to build one himself.
He and his team at Kitchen Automatique set out to create a truly smart cooktop that offers better heating control and lets you use digital recipes seamlessly. They wanted to build an elegant tool for passionate cooks and chefs to create amazing dishes effortlessly.
And that's how the Vision Infinity Cooktop was born. The rest, as they say, is history.
